Both strawberry and pizza lovers will delight in this fruity feast!
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 bought plain pizza bases
- 1 ½ cups grated mozzarella or white cheddar
- 140g goat cheese, crumbed
- 1 ½ cups strawberries, leafy ends removed and sliced into quarters
- 18 capers
- 15 ml fresh mint, chiffonade into short little strips
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Black Onion seeds & coarse salt
Honey-cumin drizzle - 5 ml Cumin seeds
- 30 ml of raw honey
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius
- Top the pizza dough with grated mozzarella, crumbed goat cheese, capers and strawberries. Sprinkle black onion seeds, coarse salt and black pepper over.
- Bake on a lightly oiled baking sheet or pizza stone for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and the pizza crust is golden.
- Meanwhile, place the honey, cumin and salt in a small saucepan. Gently simmer the mixture on medium-low heat. Remove just as it starts to bubble (keep a close eye!)
- Serve the pizza with fresh mint and the honey-cumin drizzle!
