Strawberry – Whole Oats Smoothie
- One punnet fresh strawberries, hulled and cut
- ½ – 1 cup coconut milk or almond or organic cow’s milk
- ½ cup of steel cut oat-groats (from Woolworths)
- 2cm fresh ginger root
- 1 cm fresh turmeric root (optional)
- 1 organic banana (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoon honey or coconut sugar
- Mix all the ingredients together in a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy as a breakfast meal or as a late afternoon snack.
